The City & The Church

Newcastle and Gateshead are great places to live and probably immediately conjure up certain hallowed images – the angel of the North, the tyne bridge, the black and white of the toon army, hardians wall, the
Sage arts venue, and probably many more.
Newcastle and Gateshead is a truly fantastic place to live. A city of nearly half a million people, it boasts both vibrancy and intimacy. You’ll find the bright-lights of the city centre with all its bustling retail, entertainment and business sector, right next to the incredible beauty and tranquillity of the Northumberland coast-line and rugged countryside.

Newcastle has two huge universities (
Newcastle &
Northumbria, with the number of students in the city numbering nearly 50,000 during term time.

Alongside this you also find the world famous
Newcastle United FC, the
Newcastle Falcons RFC (and Jonny Wilkinsons left foot) and the huge
Metro Radio Arena which has played host to household names such as Oasis, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Phil Collins, Simply Red and the internationally acclaimed Riverdance and Les Miserables.
We love this city, and the Church is here to serve the city in which we live. Our goal to help make our city a great place to live for as many people as possible, by playing our part as a local Church. We believe that the Church has a vital role to play in the advancement and prosperity of the city.

Our Church is made up of people from so many walks of life, from stay home mums through to entrepreneurial business leaders. Our goal is to get involved in every area of our city – sport, politics, art, culture, education, business, finance, family life. We want to make a difference in our communities – through the way we live, serve, raise our families and live out the good news of Jesus Christ wherever we find ourselves. We love this city!
