Joining City Church

Joining City Church as a member is a very simple process, and one that we would encourage you to investigate. Joining the Church means being joined at a number of levels.

First, you must be joined to Jesus, through repentance, faith and baptism.

Second, you need to be joined to leadership. The Church is led by an Elders Team of 4 men, supported by a number of other key leaders and pastors.

Third, you must be joined in friendship to others. The Church is a family, therefore relationships are crucial – are you in a city group yet? Do you have real friendships?

Fourth, you must be joined through ministry and mission. Church is something we all play our part in. We serve with our gifts, our time, our finances. The goal – to introduce as many people to Jesus as possible in our city.

Each term, for a day on Saturday, we run the Joining the Church Course, which is a whistle-stop tour of the values, vision and history of City Church. This is a brilliant day, designed as something of a shop-window for all who are interested in finding out more. There is plenty of opportunity for question and answer as well as meeting with others who are at a similar stage to yourself. The day even includes a trip around the CastleGate building!

After attending this day, you will decide if you would like to become a member of the church or not. After a brief membership interview with your city group leader, we will then publically welcome you into church membership on a Sunday morning to great applause and many cheers!

To find out when the next joining the Church course starts, please contact the church office on 0191 233 2288 or office@city-church.co.uk.
